A great food town. Everything form $1.50 street tacos to fine dining.
Over a two week period we only had 1 bad meal.
We suggest skipping the restaurants around the main square. Expensive and not the best food in the city.
Everything within walking distance. Interesting museums, local market and a bee farm.

Good access because of the Train Maya, but, if traveling using the Train Maya, double check the schedule, is only 3 times per day, that the train goes to Can Cun.
If you have the time, are plenty of places near by to visit Chichen Itza, and Ek Balam pyramids, Cenotes, Churches, plus the regional food, just outside the ADO terminal, is a lady selling "panuchos", is a very simple snack that will surprise you with its flavor, totally recommended, I will go back, just to taste this delicious food.

Wonderful city well worth a visit.
Wonderful city well worth a visit. A long stay here would be perfect. Handy to visit the nearby ruins at Chichén Itzá and close enough to the airport without staying there, With a car an ideal pace to explore towns, villages, cenotes and ruins nearby. Beaches are not far away. All around delightful city with friendly and helpful people. Felt completely secure here. Would definitely stay here again.

It's a beautiful, old Mexican town that's hip — Spanish speaking, not touristy. Cenote Zaci is near the large Central Park with a beautiful Cathedral. There are a variety of good restaurants and places to stay, a great light show at an old convent. It's close to Chichen Itza, more area cenotes, day trips, and tours. People are friendly and helpful.
Our bus had a delay so we were one hour late than our original schedule for arrival but the hotel saved us our room, the staff was really kind (it was 22:45 showed us to our room.
the room was clean, smelled really nice. Loved!! the bathroom. We even get free water.
On top of the building is terrace to just chill. Near city center- 5min walk. Around are the cafes, restaurants, shops,…
ADO bus stop is just 10min walking distance.
Definitely recommend for anyone who is in Valladolid!
This hotel is gorgeous, there is so much character and the art work is beautiful, the staff are amazing! Lots of hammocks and places to chill by the pool. The location is great, right in the centre of Valladolid which is a lovely town. The included breakfast was also delicious. Free parking off the street. We loved staying in Valladolid for a few nights as it was a great base for all the nearby ruins and cenotes. We hope we can come back soon!
The hotel definitely feels like its own little world in Valladolid, complete with an impressive palm-thatched hall, a tower, the steamy saline cave, a cool outdoor swimming pool, and even a clothing-optional relaxation space. Plus, our room had art from an local artist that was "trippy" to say the least! To finish our stay, we got a couple's massage at the hotel that felt great after days of sightseeing Mayan ruins in the jungle.
We were looking for a non-expensive hotel near the bus station and the collectivos going to Chichen Itza,, and close to the main square / center of town, so Hotel Valladolid was an obvious choice - although there are other options in the area. Our room (room 1) was large enough for 2 people, clean, with a king size bed and a nice stone wall. The receptionists were friendly and gave us tips on what to see and how to get around.
Beautiful boutique hotel. The rooms were super nice, very big and comfortable and very well decorated. The hotel itself felt like a little oasis to come back to each evening. The location was great, it took about 10-15 minutes to walk into the middle of town (past some great food options). Service was very good. Very good value compared to anywhere else we looked at potentially staying.
Very cute boutique hotel in one of the prettiest streets in Valladolid. The staff were super friendly. Rooms are clean and spacious and have hammocks which we loved. The boutique and the coffee shop that are part of the hotel are great too (good coffee and purchased a few lovely dresses). Shame we only stayed for one night, would recommend as very reasonably priced too.
Mayan majesty hotel is a jewel hidden in the middle of Valladolid city, it's close and walking distance from all the main attractions and is quiet enough to enjoy a good night's sleep. The people working in the hotel are knowleadgeble and nice and willing to help in any way possible.
Breakfast is simple but good.
The hotel was very comfortable and clean. Had a nice breakfast and was in a good location to walk to everything in Valladolid. The room was layed out nicely with a kitchenette and half wall between the beds. The hotel has about 4 parking spaces, but can also park on the street if the parking is full.
This hotel, located near Valladolid’s city park, catches your eye with its detailed and unique decorations. Each corner of the hotel showcases a thoughtful design, and the spacious rooms are a welcome feature. Its proximity to the city center makes it convenient for exploring Valladolid.
Location, service and ambiance 10/10. Perfect little boutique hotel with just a few rooms, very romantic and private. The complimentary breakfast took us by surprise! Very good, considering most similar places in Mexico charge and not very little for it.
Highly recommend this spot. Wasn’t easy to find at first because front signage is quite muted. But it’s a legit boutique hotel. Front desk and everything. Even has real hot water which not all places in Mx do. Super nice ppl.
Stay here.!
The breakfast each morning was delicious. Our host was very accommodating and provided many excellent recommendations. The hotel is centrally located and we felt like we were able to easily explore Valladolid.
Casa Tía Micha is a gorgeous boutique hotel with personalized service. love the location just 1/2 a block from the Plaza. very colorful, clean. lots of plants. we loved the breakfast every morning as well.
The garden in the center of the hotel is super nice. The whole place made us feel comfortable. And the staff was extremely kind and helpful. I really recommend this place during a stay in Valladolid.
A simple, cute, clean hotel at an excellent location in central Valladolid. We stayed 1+1 nights, so it was all that we needed. There is also a laundry service, that you pay a small amount for.
Hotel Refugio41 is a lovely boutique hotel in Valladolid. The room and surrounding courtyard is beautiful and the breakfast provided was a wonderful bonus. I highly recommend this hotel.
Clean and comfortable hotel. Stayed three nights and it was a good base to explore Valladolid. Extra large bed was a little firm. Close to centre and great restaurants nearby.
